New Aphasia Choir Launches in Leeds

New Aphasia Choir Launches in Leeds

World Voice Day (16th April) saw the launch of the provisionally titled Aphasia Choir at the GATE Community Resource Centre in Belle Isle, Leeds. The choir is being run by volunteers Jessie and Helen with the support of our Volunteer & Fundraising Coordinator, Hattie.

There was a slight Sound Of Music theme to the launch with ‘Edelweiss’ and ‘Do-Re-Mi’ being performed alongside ‘You are my Sunshine’

Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in, especially Deborah, Colin and Jean. We think it is going to be a fantastic project and we look forward to seeing how the group grows in 2019 and beyond. Next stop: The Royal Albert Hall!

The group is to meet monthly in Belle Isle. For information about when the group meets please contact Hattie – hforeman@speakwithit.org
