We are looking for new trustees to assist the charity as it seeks to expand its support offer between 2020 and 2023 and to become sustainable for the long term.
The Board of Trustees sets the vision, the strategic direction, and management of the charity. It is responsible for overall governance which includes being guardians of the charity’s assets, overseeing operational effectiveness. All trustees are unpaid. The Board generally meets every 6-8 weeks on Monday mornings from 10.30am in Wakefield City Centre. There will be further opportunities to take part in sub groups focusing on specific aspects of the charity’s work, for example fundraising.
This opportunity will provide the right person with a unique opportunity to put their stamp on a forward thinking and growing charity and to make a real difference in a field of work where there is limited support for people.
